A lightweight bout has been added to UFC Fight Night 43 in Albquerque on June 7th as Diego Sanchez will meet Ross Pearson.
UFC officials announced the fight booking on Friday and the bout will be placed on the main card.
UFC Fight Night 43 will take place from the Tingley Coliseum on June 7th and will be headlined by a lightweight bout as former lightweight champion Benson Henderson faces Rustam Khabilov.
Sanchez (24-7) has lost back to back fights and three of his last four since returning to the lightweight division. His last last two defeats have come by unanimous decision and the most recent defeat came at UFC 171 earlier this month against Myles Jury.
Pearson (15-6, 1NC) is unbeaten since returning to the lightweight division and his last fight ended in a no contest against Melvin Guillard following an illegal knee being thrown by Guillard. Before his fight with Guillard, he had won his last two fights by TKO, including a victory over George Sotiropoulos.
