The fight booking was announced during Wednesday night’s edition of UFC Tonight by Ariel Helwani.

Edgar and Penn are the coaches for the next season of the UFC reality show and the show recently wrapped up filming in Las Vegas.

The show is expected to debut in late April on Fox Sports 1 following the conclusion of The Ultimate Fighter Nations.

Edgar (16-4-1) snapped a three fight losing streak last year when he defeated Charles Oliveira. In his two previous matchup against Penn, he won both fights by unanimous decision but this fight will be fought at featherweight, not lightweight.

Penn (16-9-2) has been out of action since the end of 2012 when he was defeated by top welterweight title contender Rory MacDonald. He is 1-4-1 in his last six fights and the only win in this time period came against Matt Hughes at UFC 123 in 2010.

More details on The Ultimate Fighter 19 are expected to be announced shortly by the UFC.
