The UFC 173 pay-per-view on May 24th in Las Vegas as a new main event as Renan Barao will defend the bantamweight title against T.J. Dillashaw.
UFC President Dana White announced the new fight booking to MMA Junkie on late Thursday evening.
UFC 173 will come from the MGM Grand Garden Arena on May 24th and tickets will go on sale shortly.
Barao (32-1, 1NC) will be facing a Team Alpha Male fighter for the second straight fight as he is coming off a first round victory against Urijah Faber at UFC 169. His last three wins have come by stoppage and this will mark the third time he has been the main event of a pay-per-view card.
