Tony Ferguson vs. Katsunori Kikuno announced for UFC 173

A lightweight bout has been added to the UFC 173 card on May 24th in Las Vegas as Ultimate Fighter 13 winner Tony Ferguson will meet Katsunori Kikuno. MGM Grand

The fight booking was announced by the UFC on Monday as both fighters have verbally agreed to the bout.

UFC 173 will come from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on May 24th and will be headlined by Chris Weidman defending the UFC middleweight title against Lyoto Machida.

Ferguson (14-3) has won four of his five fights in the UFC and three of those wins have come in the lightweight division. After being away for nearly a year and a half, he returned at UFC 166 in October and defeated Mike Rio by submission.

Kikuno (22-5-2) made his UFC debut at the beginning of the year and defeated Quinn Mulhern by unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 34. It was his sixth straight victory and four of his last six wins have come by knockout or submission.
