An undisclosed injury has forced Tor Troeng to pull out of his UFC 171 bout against Bubba McDaniel and replacing Troeng will be UFC newcomer Sean Strickland.
UFC officials announced the change on Monday and the new bout will be placed on the preliminary card on Fight Pass.
UFC 171 takes place on March 15th from the American Airlines Arena in Dallas and will be headlined by Johny Hendricks facing Robbie Lawler for the vacant UFC welterweight title.
Strickland (13-0) has been competing since 2009 and twelve of his fights have taken place in the promotion, King of the Cage. Two of his last three wins have come by TKO/KO in the first round and ten of his victories have come by stoppage.
McDaniel (21-7) was a member of Team Jones during The Ultimate Fighter 17 and won his official UFC debut at the live final against Gilbert Smith. He returned at UFC Fight Night 27 against Brad Tavares and was defeated by unanimous decision.
