The Ultimate Fighter China Finale took place Saturday morning in Macau, China and the fight night bonuses went to Dong Hyun Kim, Matt Mitrione, Yui Chul Nam, and Kazuki Tokudome.
The bonuses were announced by UFC President Dana White through his twitter feed.
One of the two performance of the night bonuses went to Dong Hyun Kim who earned the award with a stunning spinning back elbow knockout of John Hathaway. The knockout was really spectacular, and MMA fans will be in for a treat if any other knockout tops it for the rest of the year.
Kim, who was on eight of fights with strikes, has now won four straight. The victory lines up in prime position to receive a high-ranked opponent in the welterweight division.
The other performance of the night bonus went to Matt Mitrione. Mitrione’s fight with Shawn Jordan was called with a second remaining in the first round. As time was about to expire, Mitrione unloaded with a barrage of powerful punches that knocked Jordan out.
Lightweights, Kazuki Tokudome and Yui Chul Nam, earned fight of the night honors in what was a fascinating three round contest. Nam, who ended up winning a split decision, dominated Tokudome in the first round, knocking him down several times, but Tokudome was able to rally back in the latter rounds to contest Nam and make the fight interesting.
