UFC Fight Night 38 took place on Sunday in Natal, Brazil and the fight night bonuses went to Dan Henderson, Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, and Godofredo Pepey.
The bonuses were announced following the event on Fox Sports 1 and each bonus is $50,000.
The fight of the night went to Henderson and Rua for their battle in the main event of the fight card. Shogun looked closed to getting a finish at two separate points in the fight, but Henderson was able to survive and ended up scoring a TKO finish in the third round after he dropped Shogun with a right hand.
Along with winning the fight of the night bonus, Henderson also won one of the performances of the night and will walk away with $100,000 in bonus money. This is the fourth UFC fight that Henderson has won a fight night bonus, with his last bonus coming against Shogun in 2011 at UFC 139.
The other performances of the night went to Pepey, who defeated Noad Lahat in the opening bout of the fight card. Pepey finished the fight by landing a flying knee that knocked out Lahat against the cage. The victory snapped a two fight losing streak and this is his first TKO/KO win since 2010.
