A pair of bouts in the lower UFC weight classes have been booked for UFC Fight Night on June 7th as John Dodson meets John Moraga in a flyweight bout and Sergio Pettis faces Yaotzin Meza in a bantamweight bout.
The fight bookings was confirmed by the UFC today.
UFC Fight Night 42 will take place from the Tingley Coliseum on June 7th and will be headlined by a lightweight bout as former lightweight champion Benson Henderson faces Rustam Khabilov.
Dodson (15-6) is coming off a win at UFC 166 against Darrell Montague and he has won four of his five fights in the UFC. He was scheduled to return at UFC on FOX 9, but an injury forced him off the card. Moraga (14-2) will also enter this fight off a victory and he has won three of his last four. His last win came in January, which was a split decision over Dustin Ortiz.
Pettis (10-1) won his UFC debut late last year when he defeated Will Campuzano at UFC 167 by unanimous decision. He returned in January and was defeated by Alex Caceres in the third round by decision. Meza (20-9) has gone 1-2 in the UFC and is 1-1 since dropping down to the bantamweight division. His last fight also took place in January and lost a decision against Chico Camus.
