Today’s weigh-ins came from the Silver Legacy Hotel and tomorrow’s fight card will come from the Reno Event Center.

In the main event, Vitaly Minakov (253.4 lbs) will make his first Bellator heavyweight tittle defense as he is challenged by season nine tournament winner Cheick Kongo (232.2 lbs).

The fight card was scheduled to have semifinal bouts in the welterweight and middleweight tournaments, but both fights were canceled just moments before the weigh-ins began.

Andrey Koreshkov came down with the flu and his welterweight tournament semifinal bout against Sam Oropeza will be moved to a fight card later this season and middleweight tournament semifinalist Jeremy Kimball was overweight. A decision on Kimball and his tournament bout against Dan Cramer has not been announced at this time by Bellator.

With both of those fights off the card, Bellator added a welterweight and light heavyweight bout to the televised main card. Former welterweight tournament fighter Herman Terrado (170 lbs) will meet Justin Baesman, and Volkan Oezdemir (205.6 lbs) faces Kelly Anundson (205.8 lbs) in a light heavyweight bout.

The only fighter to initially miss weight was preliminary card fighter Oscar Ramirez. He weighed in at 128.4 pounds on his first attempt for his flyweight bout against Benito Lopez. He was given additional time to make weight by the Nevada State Athletic Commission and made weight on his second attempt at 126 pounds.
