Bellator 115 Medical Suspensions: Vitaly Minakov facing a possible six month suspension

The medical suspensions for Bellator 115 have been released by the Nevada State Athletic Commission and Vitaly Minakov is facing a suspension of six months unless he is cleared by a doctor.  Bellator 115

The commission released the medical suspensions on Tuesday and the suspensions were forwarded to TheMMAReport.com after they were requested.

Bellator 115 took place last Friday night at the Reno Events Center and was headlined by Minakov defeating Cheick Kongo by unanimous decision to retain the Bellator heavyweight title.

Minakov will need to have a MRI done on his left shoulder and be cleared by a doctor. If he is not cleared by a doctor, he will be out until the beginning of October.

The complete Bellator 115 medical suspensions are below:

  • Vitaly Minakov: Must have left shoulder MRI and orthopedic clearance or no contact until 10/02/14; minimum suspension no contest until 05/20/14 and no contact until 05/05/14
  • Justin Baesman: Suspended until 05/05/14 and no contact until 04/26/14
  • Herman Terrado: Suspended until 05/20/14 and no contact until 05/05/14 (left cheek laceration)
  • James Terry: Suspended until 05/20/14 and no contact until 05/05/14 (right cheek laceration)
  • Rick Reeves: Suspended until 05/20/14 and no contact until 05/05/14 (right cheek laceration)
  • Freddie Aquitania: Must have right vomer bone cleared by ENT and must have right elbow x-rayed if positive then must be cleared by Dr. or no contest until 10/02/14; minimum suspension no contest until 06/04/14 and no contact until 05/20/14
  • Jimmy Jones: Suspended until 06/04/14 and no contact until 06/04/14 (scalp laceration)
  • Rudy Morales: Must have right hand x-rayed if positive then must have orthopedic Dr clearance and no contest until 07/04/14 or no contest until 10/02/14
