A lightweight bout has been announced for UFC Fight Night 44 on June 28th in San Antonio as Joe Ellenberger will face Frank Trevino.
The fight booking was announced by the UFC on late Tuesday evening.
UFC Fight Night 44 will come from the AT&T Center and will be headlined by Cub Swanson meeting Jeremy Stephens in a scheduled five round featherweight bout.
Ellenberger (14-1) was scheduled to make his UFC debut this past weekend, but the fight was canceled on the week of the event when his opponent got injured. He is currently on a two fight winning streak and twelve of his victories have come by TKO/KO or submission.
Trevino (12-0) made his UFC debut in March and defeated Renee Forte by unanimous decision at UFC 171. It was his fourth career win by submission and his last three wins have come by unanimous decision.
