K.J. Noons vs. Sam Stout is now a welterweight bout at TUF Nations Finale

A scheduled lightweight bout on Wednesday’s The Ultimate Fighter Nations Finale between K.J. Noons and Sam Stout is now a welterweight bout.TUF Nations Finale

UFC officials announced the change in a statement on Monday evening.

“The lightweight bout originally scheduled between Sam Stout and KJ Noons for UFC Fight Night: Bisping vs. Kennedy has been changed to a welterweight contest,” the statement said. “The fighters approached the UFC to request the change in weight class, and it was subsequently approved by both the UFC and the Quebec athletic commission, the RĂ©gie des alcools, des courses et des jeux.”

Stout (20-9-1) initially made his UFC debut in 2006 and has won six fight of the night bonuses. He is coming off a decision victory at UFC on FOX 9 against Cody McKenzie and his last three wins have come by decision. Noons (12-7) is the former Elite XC lightweight champion and recently snapped a three fight losing streak at UFC 166 against George Sotiropoulos.
