A light heavyweight bout has been booked for the UFC Fight Night card on June 7th in Albuquerque as Patrick Cummins will look for his first win in the UFC against Francimar Barroso.
The fight booking was announced by the UFC on Friday afternoon.
UFC Fight Night 43 will take place from the Tingley Coliseum on June 7th and will be headlined by a lightweight bout as former lightweight champion Benson Henderson faces Rustam Khabilov.
Cummins (4-1) was signed by the UFC in February and stepped in on less than two weeks notice to face Daniel Cormier. He would be defeated in the first round by TKO and it was his first fight in eleven months. Prior to entering the UFC, he won his first four fights by stoppage in the first round.
Barroso (16-4) will also enter this fight following a defeat as he lost a split decision to Hans Stringer at UFC Fight Night 39 two weeks ago. The defeat snapped a four fight winning streak and fourteen of his career victories have come by TKO/KO or submission.
