TUF Nations Finale and the debut episode of TUF 19 took place last night on Fox Sports 1 and while the fight card had improve ratings from the last Wednesday card, the ratings for the reality show were down compared to season 18.
According to Nielsen sources, the preliminary overnight rating for TUF Nations Finale preliminary card was 263,000 and main card drew 641,000 total viewers.
The last time the UFC held a Wednesday fight card was back in January with UFC Fight Night 35. Back in January, the preliminary card had 220,000 viewers and the main card came in at 629,000 viewers, so last night’s card did have a slight improvement in viewership.
According to the same Nielsen sources, last night’s debut episode of TUF 19 landed at 595,000 total viewers, which is down 21.9 percent from the debut of TUF 18 last year. Last night’s TUF 19 premiere is up 60 percent from the TUF Nations debut in January, which also followed a live fight card.
When it came to the competition on cable, ESPN had a doubleheader of NBA basketball games that both had over 1.2 million viewers. Other top shows that went up against the UFC programming were The Big Bang Theory on TBS, American Dad on Adult Swim, and American Pickers on History.
