UFC Fight Night 44 will take place on June 28th in San Antonio and the UFC has announced two new fights as Clint Hester meets Antonio Brago Neto in a middleweight bout and in a welterweight bout, Sean Spencer faces Luiz Dutra.
Both fight bookings were recently announced by the UFC.
UFC Fight Night 44 will come from the AT&T Center and will be headlined by Cub Swanson meeting Jeremy Stephens in a scheduled five round featherweight bout.
Hester (10-3) is currently on a six fight winning streak and three of those wins have come in the UFC. His last victory came in February as he defeated Andy Enz at UFC 169 by decision. Neto (9-1, 1NC) won his UFC debut last year as he defeated Anthony Smith by submission at UFC on FUEL TV 10. It was his fourth straight win and all of those victories have been by submission.
Spencer (11-3) opened his UFC career at middleweight and dropped down to the welterweight division where he has won two of his last three fights. His last fight came at last month’s UFC 171 and he lost a split decision against Alex Garcia. Dutra (11-3-1) lost his UFC debut in January against Kiichi Kunimoto as he was disqualified for elbows to the back of the head. The defeat snapped a four fight winning streak and it was his first defeat since 2008.
