Tyron Woodley signs new deal, meets Rory MacDonald at UFC 174

Tyron Woodley has signed a new eight fight deal with the UFC and his next fight will take place at UFC 174 against Rory MacDonald.

The fight booking was announced by the UFC on early Tuesday evening.

UFC 174 will come from Rogers Centre on June 14th and the main event for the fight card has not been announced at this time.

Woodley (13-2) has won three of his four fights in the UFC since coming over from Strikeforce and is coming off a victory against former interim UFC welterweight champion Carlos Condit at UFC 171. The victory over Condit was his second straight victory and all three of his victories in the UFC have come by TKO/KO.

MacDonald (16-2) is coming off a decision victory at UFC 170 against Demian Maia and he has won six of his last seven fights. His last three wins have come by unanimous decision and he is currently the number two title contender in the UFC media rankings.
