UFC Fight Night 41 took place on Saturday at the O2 World in Berlin, Germany and the UFC awarded four performance of the night bonuses as they went to Gegard Mousasi, C.B. Dollaway, Niklas Backstrom, and Magnus Cedenblad.
The bonuses were announced by UFC Executive Gary Cook at the post fight press conference and each bonus is $50,000.
Mousasi became the first fighter to submit Mark Munoz in the main event of the fight card and he has now won two of his three fights in the UFC. During the fight, Mousasi stopped all six of the takedown attempts of Munoz and ended up finishing the fight with a rear-naked choke. This is the second straight fight that Mousasi has won a fight night bonus as he won the Fight of the Night bonus with Lyoto Machida at UFC Fight Night 36.
Dollaway scored his second straight victory with a decision win over Francis Carmont in the co-main event. He was able to drop Carmont in the first round and used takedowns in the second and third round to secure the decision victory. He has now won a fight night bonus four times and he has won a bonus in two of his last four fights.
In the opening fight of the main card, Backstrom made his UFC debut and remained undefeated by submitting Tom Niinimaki in the first round with what was officially called a rear-naked choke. Niinimaki got off to a good start, but Backstrom went for a jumping guillotine and later finished the fight with a bulldog choke.
The final performance bonus went to Cedenblad, who defeated Krzysztof Jotko by submission with one second left in the second round. He has now won back to back fights in the UFC after losing his debut and both of those wins have come by submission.
