A lightweight bout has been added to UFC on FOX 12 on July 26th in San Jose as Josh Thomson will face Michael Johnson on the main card.
The fight booking was announced by the UFC on late Friday morning.
UFC on FOX 12 will come from the SAP Center in San Jose on July 26th and the main event for the card has not been announced at this time.
Thomson (20-6, 1NC) is coming off a controversial split decision defeat against former UFC champion Benson Henderson at UFC on FOX 10. Prior to fighting Henderson, he won the knockout of the night bonus at UFC on FOX 7 against former title challenger Nate Diaz.
Johnson (15-8) has won three in a row and six of his last eight fights. During his recent three fight winning streak, two of the victories have come by unanimous decision and his most recent win came in March against now former UFC fighter Melvin Guillard.
