With Brooks being the interim champion, it would make logical sense that he would face Bellator lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez in a title unificiation bout next.

However, Bellator MMA Chairman and CEO Bjorn Rebney stated during his Bellator 120 Post Fight Media Scrum that Alvarez’s contract specifies that his next fight be against Chandler.

Alvarez can tell Bellator that he would rather face Brooks next, but if he tells them that he wants to fight Chandler, Bellator has to make the fight and there is nothing Brooks can do about it.

On late Monday night/early Tuesday morning, Brooks released a series of tweets giving his thoughts on Alvarez/Chandler and Bellator. All of his tweets are below.

Following his tweets from late last night/early this morning, Brooks sent off another series of tweets that he started off by saying Bellator is not bad.
