A flyweight bout has been added to the UFC 176 fight card on August 2nd in Los Angeles as Zach Makovsky meets Jussier Formiga in a battle of top ten flyweights.
The fight booking was initially reported by Philly.com and was later confirmed by the UFC.
UFC 176 will come from the Staples Center in Los Angeles and will be headlined by Jose Aldo defending the UFC featherweight title against Chad Mendes.
Makovsky (18-4) has won four straight since being released by Bellator and two of those wins have come in the UFC. His most recent win came in February as he defeated Josh Sampo by unanimous decision at UFC 170.
Formiga (16-3) entered the UFC as one of the top flyweight fighters in the world and has gone 2-2 in the organization. His last appeareance in the octagon came at UFC Fight Night 38 against Scott Jorgensen and won by submission in the first round.
