Bellator 121 took place last night at the WinStar World Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma and the main card on Spike TV was headlined by Philipe Lins advancing to the semifinals of the light heavyweight tournament with a submission victory over Austen Heidlage.
The card also featured Egidijus Valavicius and Kelly Anundson joining Lins and Lim McGeary in the semifinals with victories on the card.
In addition, the main card on Spike TV saw James Thompson and Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou win their Bellator debuts with first round victories.

- Lins is now tied with Emanuel Newton, Mikhail Zayats, and Mike Mucitelli for the most submission wins in Bellator light heavyweight division history.
- Heidlage has now been submitted in both of his career defeats.
- After a rough stretch from 2006-2010, Thompson is unbeaten in his last six fights (5-0, 1NC).
- Eric Prindle is now 1-5 since winning the Season Five Heavyweight Tournament and his last two defeats have come by TKO.
- Sokoudjou scored his first career win by submission as he defeated Terry Davinney and the victory snaps a two fight losing streak.
- Since winning his Bellator debut in 2012, Davinney has dropped three straight fights and all of those defeats have come in the first round.
- Valavicius advanced to the light heavyweight tournament semifinals with a split decision victory over Carlos Eduardo and he has now won nine of his last ten fights.
- Eduardo has dropped back to back fights by decision after winning his Bellator debut last year.
- Anundson scored his fifth straight victory with a decision over Rodney Wallace and it’s his first fight to go to the decision since his professional debut.
- The defeat for Wallace snaps a two fight losing streak and he now has a record of 13-5-1 when the fight goes to the scorecards.
- Joe Vedepo defeated Cortez Coleman by majority decision and this is the fifth fight in Bellator history to be won by a majority decision.
- Ray Sloan won his Bellator debut by submission in 48-seconds over Jamelle Jones and this is the third fastest submission in Bellator light heavyweight division history.
- Bubba McDaniel had his first fight since exiting the UFC and went to the decision for the third time in his career as he defeated Matt Jones.
- Steve Garcia remained undefeated with a 39-second knockout victory over Cody Walker in a 140 pound catchweight bout and this is the ninth fastest victory in a catchweight bout in Bellator history.
