Kyoji Horiguchi vs. Chris Cariaso among the additions to UFC Fight Night 52

The UFC held a press conference today in Japan to officially announced UFC Fight Night 52 and several fights for the fight card were announced including a flyweight bout between Kyoji Horiguchi and Chris Cariaso. UFC Japan 2014

The UFC also officially announced that former Strikeforce champion Miesha Tate will meet UFC newcomer Rin Nakai and Takanori Gomi, Yoshihiro Akiyama, and Norifumi Yamamoto will appear on the card.

UFC Fight Night 52 will come from the Saitama Arena in Saitama, Japan on September 20th and will be headlined by a heavyweight bout as Mark Hunt meets Roy Nelson.

Horiguchi (13-1) was signed by the UFC and has won both of his fights in the promotion. After debuting as a bantamweight in the UFC, he dropped down to flyweight at UFC Fight Night 40 in May and earned a decision against Darrell Montague.

Cariaso (17-5) is currently on a three fight winning streak and his last two wins have come by decision. His most recent win came at UFC Fight Night 40 as he won a split decision against Louis Smolka.
