Ryan Benoit has pulled out of his UFC Fight Night 44 bout against Ray Borg due to unknown reasons and replacing him in the bout will be UFC newcomer Shane Howell.
The fight change was announced by the UFC today.
UFC Fight Night 44 will come from the AT&T Center on June 28th and will be headlined by Cub Swanson meeting Jeremy Stephens in a scheduled five round featherweight bout.
Howell (13-7) is currently on a six fight winning streak and seven of his career wins have come by stoppage. His last fight came in 2012 as he defeated Jimmy Van Horn by TKO in the second round at a King of the Cage event.
Borg (6-1) opened his career with six wins before being signed by the UFC earlier this year. His UFC debut came in April at UFC on FOX 11 and he lost a split decision to Dustin Ortiz.
