A women’s bantamweight bout scheduled for the now postponed UFC 176 has been shifted to UFC 177 as Bethe Correia meets Shayna Baszler.
The new date for the fight booking was announced by the UFC on Tuesday evening.
UFC 177 will come from the Sleep Train Arena on August 30th and will be headlined by TJ Dillashaw defending the bantamweight title against Renan Barao.
Correia (8-0) made her debut in the UFC late last year and defeated Julie Kedzie by decision at UFC Fight Night 33. She returned at UFC 172 and defeated Baszler’s teammate Jessamyn Duke by unanimous decision.
Baszler (15-8) was a member of Team Rousey during The Ultimate Fighter 18 and this will be her official UFC debut. She was previously scheduled to make her debut April, but an injury forced her to pull out of her fight against Sarah Kaufmann at The Ultimate Fighter Nations Finale.
The current UFC 177: Dillashaw vs. Barao II fight card is below.
TJ Dillashaw (10-2) vs. Renan Barao (32-2, 1NC)
Bethe Correia (8-0) vs. Shayna Baszler (15-8)
