Top women’s bantamweight contender Cat Zingano will return from injury on September 27th in Las Vegas as she will meet Amanda Nunes at UFC 178.
The fight booking was initially reported by Yahoo Sports and was later confirmed by the UFC.
UFC 178 will take place in Las Vegas on September 27th and will be headlined by Jon Jones defending the UFC light heavyweight title against Alexander Gustafsson.
Zingano (8-0) has been out of action since last year due to a knee injury. Prior to the injury, she won her UFC debut by TKO against Miesha Tate and seven of her eight wins have come by stoppage.
Nunes (9-3) has won both of her fights in the UFC and both wins have come by TKO in the first round. Eight of her nine wins have come by TKO and her other win came by technical submission.
