The eleventh season of Bellator will begin on September 5th in Connecticut and the promotion officially announced yesterday that the event will be headlined by Pat Curran defending the featherweight title against Patricio Pitbull.
Outside of the September 5th event, the rest of the season eleven calendar has not been officially announced and many people have speculated that the promotion will be reducing the amount of shows they produce.
On Thursday, the promotion released a new episode of Bellator MMA Uncut and in this episode, Bellator President Scott Coker talks Bellator Director of Communications Anthony Mazzuca about the upcoming season eleven schedule.
“Okay, so we’re going to go on the 5th and then we’re are going to go ten straight weeks — and go head to head,” Coker said on the latest edition of Bellator MMA Uncut. “And next year, we’ll reformat.”
The full episode of Bellator MMA Uncut is below, and also includes Tito Ortiz talking to Coker about the potential of facing light heavyweight champion Emanuel Newton.
