A lightweight bout between fighters that were recently signed by the UFC has been booked for this month’s UFC 177 in Sacramento as Cain Carrizosa will meet Chris Wade.
The fight booking and placement on the fight card was announced by the UFC on Monday.
UFC 177 will come from the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, California on August 30th and will be headlined by a title rematch as TJ Dillashaw will defend the UFC bantamweight title against the man he beat to become champion, Renan Barao.
Carrizosa (6-0) is from California and four of his six wins have come by knockout or submission. He is coming off a thirty second knockout win at Tachi Palace Fights 19 and scored a submission victory last year at Bellator 102 against Juan Quesada.
Wade (7-1) has won back to back fights and was previously scheduled to face Ultimate Fighter alum Chris Tickle at Ring of Combat 49 in September. Five of his seven career victories have come by decision and his most recent win came in May against Frankie Perez at Ring of Combat 48.
