Ultimate Fighter 19 alum Cathal Pendred is dropping back down to the welterweight division at UFC Fight Night 53 in October and he will meet Gasan Umalatov.
The fight booking was announced by the UFC on Friday.
UFC Fight Night 53 will come from the Ericsson Globe in Stockholm, Sweden on October 4th and will be headlined by Gunnar Nelson meeting Rick Story in a welterweight bout.
Pendred (14-2-1) competed as a middleweight on The Ultimate Fighter 19 and who his official UFC debut last month as he defeated Mike King by submission. The victory over King was his first win by submission and he has a total of seven stoppage victories in his career.
Umalatov (15-3-1) was signed by the UFC at the beginning of this year and lost his debut to Neil Magny at UFC 170. He returned at The Ultimate Fighter Brazil 3 Finale and defeated Paulo Thiago by unanimous decision.
