A light heavyweight bout has been booked for the Bellator 127 card on October 3rd in Temecula, California as Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou will meet Bellator newcomer Malik Merad.
Sources close to the promotion confirmed the fight booking with TheMMAReport.com on Thursday and the bout will be place on the preliminary card on Spike.com.
Bellator 127 will come from the Pechanga Resort and Casino on October 3rd and the main event for the fight card has not been announced at this time.
Sokoudjou (15-12) made is Bellator debut in June and defeated Terry Davinney by submission in the first round. It was his first career win by submission and snapped a two fight losing streak. Merad (19-11) was signed by Bellator earlier this year and this will be his promotional debut. He is currently on a six fight winning streak and all of those victories have come by stoppage, with four of them coming via submission.
