The UFC has added to new fights to UFC 179 on October 25 in Brazil as Alan Patrick meets Beneil Dariush and Yan Cabral faces Naoyuki Kotani in a lightweight bouts.
Both fight booking were recently posted on the UFC website.
UFC 179 will come from the Maracanazinho Gymnasium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on October 25th and will be headlined by Jose Aldo defending the UFC featherweight title against Chad Mendes.
Patrick (12-0) made his debut with the UFC last year and has gone 2-0 in the organization. After defeating Garett Whiteley by TKO in his UFC debut, he returned in February and scored a decision victory over John Makdessi at UFC 169. Dariush (8-1) has won two of his three fights in the UFC and both of his wins in the promotion have come by submission. His most recent win came last month as he defeated Tony Martin at UFC Fight Night 49.
Cabral (11-1) is a submission specialist and ten of his eleven wins have come by submission. He won his UFC debut last year against David Mitchell and he will enter this fight following a defeat, as he lost a decision to Zak Cummings in May. Kotani (33-11-7) is currently in his second stint in the promotion and was brought back after winning thirteen straight. He returned in July at UFC Fight Night 46 and he was defeated in the second round by Norman Parke.
