The third episode of The Ultimate Fighter 20 debuted on Wednesday night on Fox Sports 1 and saw Jessica Penne advanced to the quarterfinals with a first round submission victory against Lisa Ellis.
According to Nielson sources, the preliminary viewership for the show came in at 433,000 viewers, which is down 24 percent from last week’s second episode in the preliminary ratings.
When it came to the competition in the 10 p.m. ET time slot, the night was won by South Park on Comedy Central 2.4 million viewers. Other top shows in the 10 p.m. ET hour included The Big Bang Theory on TBS, Key and Peele on Comedy Central, and American Dad on Adult Swim.
While the preliminary rating (Live+SD) number is down, the key will be how well the show does in the +3 DVR ratings. Last week’s episode grew 65 percent in the +3 DVR numbers and those numbers will be released early next week.
