Scott Jorgensen was scheduled to meet Henry Cejudo this past weekend at UFC 177 but the bout was scratched following Cejudo being unable to make weight and the UFC has already booked Jorgensen for his next fight as he will meet Wilson Reis at UFC 179.
UFC officials announced the fight booking earlier today.
UFC 179 will come from the Maracanazinho Gymnasium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on October 25th and will be headlined by Jose Aldo defending the UFC featherweight title against Chad Mendes.
Jorgensen (15-9) is coming off a fight of the night victory against Danny Martinez at UFC Fight Night 42 and the victory marked his first UFC flyweight victory. In addition to it being his first UFC flyweight win, the victory also snapped a three fight losing streak.
Reis (18-5) has won two of his three fights in the UFC and dropped down to the 125 pound division last month at UFC Fight Night 49 as he defeated Joby Sanchez by unanimous decision. Both of his victories in the UFC have come by decision and 10 of his 18 wins have come via decision.
