A lightweight bout is the first official fight booking for UFC on FOX 13 in December as former WEC champion Jamie Varner will meet Drew Dober.
The fight booking was announced by the UFC on Wednesday.
Varner (21-10-1, 2NC) has dropped three fights in a row and has gone 2-4 since returning to Zuffa. He is coming off a TKO defeat at UFC 172 against James Krause as he suffered an ankle injury in the fight that did not allow him to continue.
Dober (14-6) was signed by the UFC last year and he has dropped both of his fights in the UFC. His most recent defeat came in May as he lost a decision to Nick Hein and all of his career defeats have come by decision.
UFC on FOX 13 will come from the US Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona and the main event for the fight card is expected to be announced shortly by the UFC.
