A women’s bantamweight bout has been added to UFC 180 in Mexico City, Mexico on November 15th as Jessica Eye will meet Leslie Smith.
The fight booking was announced by the UFC on Wednesday evening.
UFC 180 will come from the Arena Ciudad de México in Mexico City, Mexico and will be headlined by Cain Velasquez defends the UFC heavyweight title against Fabricio Werdum.
Eye (10-2, 1NC) has gone 0-1, 1NC in the UFC and she is coming off a split decision defeat to Alexis Davis at UFC 170 in February. Prior to entering the UFC, she had won seven in a row and six of those victories came by decision.
Smith (7-5-1) dropped her UFC debut earlier this year to Sarah Kaufman and she scored her first victory in the UFC in July as she defeated Jessamyn Duke by TKO at UFC Fight Night 45. The victory snapped a two fight losing streak and is 4-3 in her last seven fights.
