After both fighters asked for the fight, the UFC has decided to make Luke Rockhold vs. Michael Bisping as the main event of UFC Fight Night 55 on November 8th in Sydney, Australia.
The fight booking was announced by the UFC during UFC Fight Night 50 on Friday.
UFC Fight Night 55 will come from the Allphones Arena in Sydney and the entire event will be streamed live on UFC Fight Pass.
Rockhold (12-2) is the former Strikeforce middleweight champion and he has won back to back fights since being defeated by Vitor Belfort. His last two victories have come by stoppage in the first round and his most recent victory came in April as he defeated Tim Boetsch by submission.
Bisping (25-6) is coming off a performance of the night victory against Cung Le in the main event of UFC Fight Night 48. It was his second victory in his last three fights and it was the first time he has won a fight night bonus since 2010 when he won the Fight of the Night bonus in his decision victory against Yoshihiro Akiyama at UFC 120.
