During Friday night’s Bellator 123, the promotion announced on Spike TV that Bellator 131 will be taking place on November 15th in San Diego and will be headlined by Stephan Bonnar making his Bellator debut against Tito Ortiz.
Both fighters were in attendance at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut and Bellator officials had both fighters in the cage to promote the fight.
Bonnar brought in a person wearing a mask, which ended up being Justin McNally and the fighters would end up having to be separated.
Following the incident in the cage between Ortiz and Bonnar, mixed martial arts fans reacted on Twitter and other social media platforms. There were some fans that called it entertainment, while other fans thought it looked more like professional wrestling.
During Scott Coker’s post fight scrum with the media, TheMMAReport.com asked Coker if he had any regrets over the incident. Coker gave his thoughts on the incident in the video below, which included him saying that Mohegan Tribe Department of Athletic Regulation Director Mike Mazzulli said to him to make sure that the two fighters do not touch each other.
