Smealinho Rama vs. Derrick Mehmen inaugural heavyweight title official for WSOF 14

World Series of Fighting 14 will take place on October 11th in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and the co-main event is now official as Smealinho Rama will meet Derrick Mehmen for the inaugural heavyweight title.WSOF 14

The fight booking was officially announced by the promotion on Wednesday in a press release. In addition, the promotion has announced the complete eleven fight card.

World Series of Fighting 14: U.S. vs. Canada will come from the EXPO Centre in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and will be headlined by a welterweight bout as Jake Shields makes his promotional debut against Ryan Ford.

Rama (8-1) has won back to back fights and is coming off a TKO win at Unified MMA 19 in May against Tim Hague. Seven of his eight wins have come by stoppage and all seven of those victories have come in the first round.

Mehmen (18-5) is currently on a six fight winning streak and three of those wins have come in the World Series of Fighting. His most recent win came in June as he defeated Dave Huckaba by unanimous decision.
