UFC 181 will take place on December 6th in Las Vegas and a heavyweight bout has been added to the card as Travis Browne will meet Ultimate Fighter alum Brendan Schaub.
The fight booking was announced by the UFC on Tuesday.
UFC 181 will come from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas and will be headlined by Chris Weidman defending the UFC middleweight title against Vitor Belfort.
Browne (16-2-1) is coming off a decision defeat to Fabricio Werdum in a title eliminator fight in April and the defeat snapped a three fight winning streak. During that winning streak, all of the wins came by knockout in the first round and won the knockout of the night bonus.
Schaub (10-4) will also enter this fight following a defeat as he lost a split decision to Andrei Arlovski at UFC 174 in June. The defeat snapped a two fight winning streak and he has gone 2-3 in his last five fights.
The current UFC 181: Weidman vs. Belfort fight card is below.
Chris Weidman (12-0) vs. Vitor Belfort (24-10)
Anthony Pettis (17-2) vs. Gilbert Melendez (22-3)
Travis Browne (16-2-1) vs. Brendan Schaub (10-4)
