Earlier this week, it was reported on UFC Tonight that Conor McGregor vs. Dennis Siver was in the works and the UFC has made the fight official as they will meet in the main event of UFC Fight Night 59.
The UFC announced the fight booking on Friday morning and the event will come from the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts on January 18th.
The fight card will air on Fox Sports 1 and January 18th is a Sunday. This is the same day as the NFC and AFC title games, which will air on Fox and CBS.
McGregor (16-2) is coming off a first round TKO win at last month’s UFC 178 against Dustin Poirier. It was his fourth win in the UFC and three of those wins have come by TKO.
Siver (22-9, NC) returned from suspension earlier this month and defeated Charles Rosa by decision at UFC Fight Night 53. Since dropping to featherweight, Siver has gone 3-1, 1NC.
Tickets for UFC Fight Night 59: McGregor vs. Siver will go on sale Thursday, November 20th.
