After making his UFC debut as a welterweight, David Michaud has decided to drop down to the lightweight division and he will make his UFC 155 pound debut against Garett Whiteley at UFC on FOX 13.
The fight booking was announced by the UFC on late Thursday evening.
Michaud (7-1) was defeated by Jingliang Li in his UFC debut in May as he lost by split decision. Prior to signing with the UFC, six of his seven victories came by knockout or submission and five of those wins came in the first round.
Whiteley (7-2) has dropped both of his fights in the UFC and his last fight came in January at UFC Fight Night 35 against Vinc Pichel. All of his victories have come by stoppage and four of those wins have come by knockout.
