The fourth episode of The Ultimate Fighter 20 debuted last night on Fox Sports 1 and saw number one seed Carla Esparza advance to the quarterfinals with a submission victory over Angela Hill in the first round.
According to Nielson sources, the preliminary viewership for the show came in at 577,000 viewers, and this is the most watched episode so far this season in the preliminary ratings.
Last night’s viewership number is up 32% from episode four of the spring season of the reality show (The Ultimate Fighter 19), which also aired on Fox Sports 1. Additionally, Live + 3 data is available for the first three episodes of this season and that average stands at 850,000 viewers, up 11% over the spring’s 769,000 through three episodes.
Also last night, a repeat of episode three of The Ultimate Fighter 20 garnered 194,000 viewers, 15% above the average of all TUF repeats in the Wednesday 9-10 p.m. time slot (168,000) and 50% better than last Wednesday’s repeat of episode two (129,000).
