Following injuries to Erik Perez and Patrick Williams, their opponents Marcus Brimage and Jumabieke Tuerxun will now face each other at UFC Fight Night 55 on November 8th in Australia.
The injuries and new fight booking was announced by the UFC on Friday evening.
UFC Fight Night 55 will come from the Allphones Arena in Sydney, Australia on November 8th and will be headlined by a scheduled five round middleweight bout as former Strikeforce champion Luke Rockhold meets Michael Bisping.
Brimage (6-3) had been scheduled to face Perez at UFC 180 on November 15th and he will now fight one week earlier in Australia. He will enter this fight with defeats in his last two fights and his last win came in 2012 against Jimy Hettes.
Tuerxun (14-2) was initially scheduled to face Williams on this fight card and opened his career with 14 straight wins before making his UFC debut in March at The Ultimate Fighter China Finale. He would be defeated in his debut by Mark Eddiva and returned in July at The Ultimate Fighter 19 Finale and was submitted by Leandro Issa.
