The main event of Bellator 128 on Friday night in Thackerville, Oklahoma was a bantamweight title unification bout as Joe Warren became the first two-division unified champion in Bellator history with a decision win over Eduardo Dantas.
Warren was able to fight Dantas against the fence for the majority of the fight and referee John McCarthy would play a factor into the fight.
During the fight, McCarthy warned Dantas about grabbing the fence and Warren about holding the gloves of Dantas. The biggest call made by McCarthy would come in the final round as Warren landed an illegal kick on the ground and he could have taken a point for Warren. However, he did not take a point and Warren won the fight 48-47 on all three of the judges scorecards.
Check out how members of the MMA media reacted to the fight, the illegal kick by Warren, and Warren walking away with the victory.
