A middleweight bout has been announced for UFC 183 on January 3rd in Las Vegas as Ildemar Alcantara will meet Richardson Moreira in a bout on the preliminary card.
The fight booking was announced by the UFC on Monday.
UFC 183 will come from Las Vegas on January 31st and will be headlined by former middleweight champion Anderson Silva facing former Strikeforce champion Nick Diaz.
Alcantara (20-7) is moving up to the middleweight division after his last four fights took place in the welterweight division. He has gone 3-2 in the UFC and his last fight came in July at UFC 175 as he lost a decision to Kenny Robertson.
Moreira (7-2) was a member of Team Wanderlei during The Ultimate Fighter Brazil 3 and lost his official UFC debut against Marcos Rogerio de Lima in a heavyweight bout. Prior to entering the UFC, he had won five of his seven fights by submission.
