Patricio Pitbull wants rematch with Joe Warren and become two-division champion

Patricio Pitbull became the Bellator featherweight champion last month and he has a new goal, join Joe Warren as a two-divisional champion in Bellator.Patricio Pitbull

Warren accomplished that on Friday night as he defeated Eduardo Dantas to become the unified Bellator bantamweight champion.

Following the victory by Warren, Pitbull went to Twitter and made it very clear. He wants a rematch against Warren and will go down to 135 pounds to face the current bantamweight champion.

Pitbull and Warren had their first meeting at Bellator 23 in the season two featherweight tournament final. Warren would win a split decision on the scorecards and would go on to win the featherweight title. Pitbull would end up winning the season four featherweight tournament to set up a rematch, but an injury delayed his opportunity to have a rematch against Warren and Pat Curran would end up taking the title from Warren.

Should Bellator President Scott Coker grant the wish of Pitbull? Daniel Weichel is currently waiting for his title shot from winning the season ten featherweight tournament and it would seem likely that former champion Daniel Straus is in line for a title shot.

UPDATE: Patricio Pitbull sent a tweet to TheMMAReport.com which he stated he wants to fight Warren in January and would defend the featherweight title in February if that is what Bellator wants.
