A bantamweight bout has been added to UFC 181 on December 6th in Las Vegas as former title challenger Urijah Faber will meet Francisco Rivera.
The fight booking was announced by the UFC on Wednesday evening.
UFC 181 will come from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas and will be headlined by a title rematch as Johny Hendricks defends the UFC welterweight title against Robby Lawler.
Faber (31-7) has won five of his last six fights and his last win came in July at UFC 175 against Alex Caceres. His last two wins have come by submission and this will be his third fight in 2014.
Rivera (10-3, 1NC) has gone 3-1, 1NC since coming back to the UFC and he will enter this fight following a defeat to Takeya Mizugaki at UFC 173. Prior to that fight, he was unbeaten in his previous six fights (5-0, 1NC) and four of those wins came by TKO/KO.
