World Series of Fighting 15 features three title fights

World Series of Fighting 15 will come from the USF Sun Dome in Tampa, Florida on November 15th and the event will feature three title fights on the main card.wsof-flat-color-outline

The card will be headlined by David Branch defending the middleweight title for the first time as he is challenged by Yushin Okami.

The other two title fights on the card will be lightweight champion Justin Gaethje making his second title defense against Melvin Guillard, and Jessica Aguilar defending the women’s strawweight title against Kalindra Faria.

All three fight bookings were initially announced by MMA Junkie and World Series of Fighting confirmed the fight bookings on Monday afternoon on Twitter.

Branch (14-3) won the inaugural middleweight title in June when he defeated Jesse Taylor by d’arce choke submission in the first round. Since entering the promotion, he has won four in a row and three of those wins have come by decision. Okami (30-8) made his promotional debut in Match and submitted Svetlozar Savov. He has won four of his last five fight and two of those wins have come by stoppage.

Gaethje (12-0) became the inaugural lightweight champion in January when he defeated Richard Patishnock by TKO in the first round. All five of his in the promotion have come by TKO/KO. Guillard (32-13-2, 2NC) was signed by the World Series of Fighting earlier ths year and won his debut by TKO in July against JZ Cavalcante. He is 2-1, 1NC in his last four fights and his last two wins have come by TKO/KO.

Aguilar (18-4) is considered the number one women strawweight and she has gone 2-0 in the World Series of Fighting. Her most recent victory came in June as she defeated Emi Fujino by unanimous decision. Faria (15-3-1) has won eleven fights in a row and three of those wins have come this year. Ten of her wins have come by stoppage and six of those have been by TKO/KO.
