World Series of Fighting 16 was initially announced to take place at The Joint at The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas on December 13th with two title fights.
However, the World Series of Fighting announced yesterday in a press release that the location of the fight card had not been determined and would be announced shortly.
According to sources, the Nevada Athletic Commission did not approve the date request by the World Series of Fighting and the promotion is now looking at other options.
TheMMAReport.com reached out to the Nevada Athletic Commission for a comment on an official reason for why the request date was denied, but the commission has not responded at this time. It should be noted that the Nevada Athletic Commission has already approved two boxing events for December 13th with one being at The Cosmopolitan and the other event is at the Mandalay Bay Events Center.
World Series of Fighting 16 will have two titles fights on the card as Rousimar Palhares will defend the welterweight title against Jon Fitch and Rick Glenn defends the featherweight title against Lance Palmer.
