A welterweight bout has been added to the UFC Fight Night 59 card on January 18th in Boston as Ultimate Fighter 19 alum Cathal Pendred will meet Sean Spencer.
The fight booking was announced by the UFC on Thursday morning.
UFC Fight Night 59 will come from the TD Garden in Boston on January 18th and will be headlined by a featherweight bout as Conor McGregor meets Dennis Siver.
Pendred (15-2-1) has won both of his official fights in the UFC since being a contestant on The Ultimate Fighter. After defeating Mike King by technical submission in his official UFC debut, he scored a split decision victory over Gasan Umalatov at UFC Fight Night 53 last month.
Spencer (12-3) entered the UFC in 2013 as a middleweight and dropped down to the welterweight division in his second UFC bout. Since dropping to 170 pounds, he has won three of four and is coming off a decision win in September against Paulo Thiago.
