Mike Ricci was scheduled to face Yoshiyuki Yoshida for the Titan FC lightweight title on Friday night, but Ricci missed weight.
Initially, Yoshida accepted a catchweight bout of 157 pounds with Ricci and signed a new bout agreement. In addition, Ricci was to be fined 20 percent of his purse and that money would go to Yoshida.
However, Yoshida changed his mind on Friday morning and told Titan FC officials that he would no longer fight Ricci.
Following the Titan FC 31 fight card, The MMA Report talked to Titan FC CEO Jeff Aronson and Ricci’s coach Firas Zahabi on why Ricci was unable to make weight, along with Yoshida changing his mind on facing Ricci in a catchweight bout.
